Brief Introduction of OrganizationGeneral Incorporated Association JAPAN Zero Carbon Smart City Foundation (JaZCaF) and its affiliated organization, the OSAKA Zero Carbon Smart City Foundation (OZCaF), are dedicated to accelerating the transition to a decarbonized society and the development of smart cities through collaboration among governments, businesses, universities and research institutions, startups, financial institutions, and citizens. Today, our public-private collaboration platform brings together more than 3,200 member organizations. JaZCaF serves as a nationwide platform that promotes open innovation and cross-sector collaboration across Japan. OZCaF focuses on the Osaka-Kansai region, connecting local governments, companies, universities, startups, and community organizations to advance practical regional initiatives. We support carbon neutrality, renewable energy, the circular economy, digital transformation (DX), ESG management, collaboration with startups, proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, and sustainable urban development through smart city initiatives. We also promote business matching, policy recommendations, and international partnerships to create innovative solutions for regional and global challenges. Through participation in the APEC Startup Network, we aim to strengthen collaboration among APEC economies, foster cross-border innovation, support the growth of startups, and contribute to sustainable and inclusive economic development throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
